Gran Turismo 5
GT5 will be released on April 19th.

The only hitch? Sony discontinued all PS3's that are backward compatible with PS2's, so anyone who is considering picking up a PS3 to play GT5 and expects to play all of their PS2 games on the PS3, you're SOL.

SONY is supposedly releasing a new PS3 in June, no word on whether it will be backward compatible with the PS2.

Regardless, looks like I won't be getting GT5 until the new PS3 is released

Update: Gran turismo prologue will be coming out in April..It will contain a fraction of the whole game which will be released next year. This game will have 60 cars and 12 tracks to drive on. There will be more than four times that in the GT5. The prologue will be temporary fulfillment but help us to learn the ways of the newest simulation driving game. I'll see u on the PS3 online

yeah I think that's what he meant by Gt5.....Prologue. It's better than nothing.

Whats your PSN? I forgot mine, but I'll check later, lol.

Yup, I am ready to get this game. Gran Turismo has always been exceptional at racing sims...

Wish they had the X5 though

I have also been waiting for this game and when i first heard about GT5 coming out i was syked. Well after reading this thread i can see that whomever i got that info from was reffering to Prologue......just gay we have to wait till next year
