Easy there Mac Fanboy. Love my Mac but have no desire to use Safari. I'm using Firefox quite happily.

No proof. Just talk. But there are always security vulnerabilities. No software is rock solid.

Not in an uproar here. Just seeking information. (thanks for that) Use what you wish but as you say "there are always security vulnerabilities. No software is rock solid." Therefore since no one that i have heard of has been victim of any of these issues i prefer to use the browser that works best with the OS.

A/V Programs on OSX are generally not worth it.
