Maui Gas Highest in the US!

My fill-up today was $94.23 using the Supreme grade and the prices are supposed to go up yet so I'm betting $100 for the next one Good news is that we're in a small island and I do just over 500 miles monthly.

Nonetheless, the X5 lease is due at the end of the year, thank goodness. This sucker is going back to the dealer. Not sure what I'll get next but definitely not an SUV, maybe a 330 and ideally a hybrid but I don't think BMW has one on the works. Someone told me that BMW drivers shouldn't care about the price of gas because if you can afford to drive one, the price of gas should be irrelevant. My reply was "Bull S..t" to that. It's not about affordability but good economic sense.

$112 to fill up an E53 where I live, 20 miles from the US border. This is with a CDN dollar that is essentially equal to the US dollar.

But, it isn't about the price. I don't even think it is about economic sense over affordability. Read up on peak oil, and start planning for what is coming.

even when the gas price was $3.60 or like yesterday at cupertino, ca chevron i filled up at $4.12, my consumption is still the same and i fill up pretty much the same time and interval so i don't feel the difference at all.

My sister in Munich, Germany who drives a 3 series pays equivalent to $9 in US currency per gallon over there.
