Clarkson on the Callaway Corvette C6

A pretty good read, especially for the 'vette fans here.

So for all y'all who think that I spell "centre" wrong.......

An even better read for the non-Corvette fans Clarkson saying what he really thinks, again.

"All y'all? Is that like a double negative? You can't be a metric-measuring global-spelling citizen of the world and talk like a Texan

I talk just fine, just have some added vocabulary. However, my spelling is more in line with the rest of the world. And I get a kick out of irritating folks with the use of metric measurements, ever since I switched over.

If you think about it, "y'all" isn't a wierd concept. Spanish, German, and I presume French all have seperate verb conjugations for "y'all".

Which part of the world spells it "wierd" and not weird?
Where do they use "seperate" in lieu of separate?

And I understood y'all, just not "all y'all" Estan makes perfect sense contrasted with estas.

I know you are putting people on, that is why I poked back.

Just kidding at you, I think it is great that you speak metric and spell like the queen intended. Colour me happy.

I am typing this before I read the article, but knowing how much Clarkson despises ANYTHING about the US, I can pretty much predict how the article will go...

He might always rip on the US, but he does like American cars. Pretty positive review of the C6, and he actually owns a GT40.

That, and the alarm system that couldn't be fixed and sent out SOS calls on its own. He got a Ford Focus wagon diesel as a loaner.........I'll always remember that! (And he was expecting an Aston or Jaguar, "since they're all the same company")
