It wasn't a reliability problem it was a supply problem. At the end of last year until about the beginning of March of this year, Audi was having a supplier problem with its V8 engines which delayed delivery of S5's among other models.

My uncle has had nothing but problems with the B5 S4 engine...

Be patient.... Get the 2009 E70 with the twin-turbo V8 and the newly redesigned 4 wheel drive system that currently lives in the X6.

Hey, for that matter, what about an X6????
