To give credit to GM, I read that this new CTS's suspension is supposed to be pretty good and vastly better than the previous one. GM stuff is good when it's developed in Europe, que Opel/Saturn,CTS steering and suspension, etc.
I'm (south) Asian, it's in our blood to give American cars shit [and love Japanese ones].
