I would suggest that he not get an 04 without CPO. Especially SMG! The problems are endless and expensive from what I've been told. The iDrive will be a source of constant pain. I would agree with Wags, tell him to go for a 650. Early 07's could be coming off short leases soon.....Phil

Picked up a DD 2008 Maxima for now. I'm focusing on getting some garage queen in the future
 Putting 25K on the Bimmers was killing them. Active steering went up in the 545 as did the cd changer, the 645 lost its electronic stack. The best Bimmer I had was the E53 X5  Blows my mind when people say "...my X5 sucks..."
