So Kayne West and the rest of the fcuktards are complaining that that they are getting no help and rebuilding process is too slow.. government sucks, etc.. so gov't send contractors to look at repairing the levy and what do these idiots do??

Sorry to say but these disasters happen for a reason.. and that is to wipe out the incompetent and idiots.. guess that didn't pan out so well..

That seems very harsh to me. The best, and the worst, is showing. It might be appropriate to feel some pain for all those impacted that aren't carrying guns.

End of my rant.

agreed but of course, you can't help those who can't help themselves either.. ie - you provide them with an opportunity and they slap you back...

These people need you help, stop stereotyping, help or keep your pre-civil rights opinions to yourself.

the same world you live in.. how am I stereotyping? I've donated money to the red cross.. have you?? so if you look through the news articles, Kayne West has not donated a single cent to the cause and he's talking shit?? like it said.. if somebody is coming to help and you shoot them for no apparent reason you're excess population and you deserve to die. put yourself in the contractors shoes.. BTW.. you didn't read a single word of my post, either that are you are completely illiterate.

This is a free country and freedom of speech is a right. While I do not agree with your opinion, I respect it. If you don't like the opinion that some else has, then ignore it. Trying to suppress the opinion of someone else is very much communistic. I have an issue when someone tries to squash a right that they use themselves; you can't have it both ways. Of course in the online world, the website owner/administrator has the say is what can and cannot be said.

Here's an idea, why not blame the two people that could have prevented this, the governor of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans. They had water pumps that didn't work, a DR plan that didn't work or pretty much the lack of one and just plain bad judgment. How do you call an evacuation of a city and then put people in the superdome? That made absolutely no sense.

Most of these people need help, the rest just need $0.50, which more than covers the cost of the bullet to cover their greatest contribution to society they can offer, their removal from it. The scum that are using guns to shoot at rescue workers, police, fire, military, coast guard, etc. need to be removed, permanently. Let's not forget the looters, they deserve the same treatment. Resources were being used to try to maintain peace rather than saving lives. When that military aircraft was fired upon, they should have fired back, and not with equal force, but in a manor that would make them think twice (if they survived) about trying that a second time.

I'll weigh in on this. First off, I know Josh and he comes from a place of good intentions and works hard to do the right thing so that's that. Second, I was offended by Kanye West's comments during the benefit concert. He went off script and went on a tyrade about how the government has given authorization to shoot black people. He can think whatever he wants for sure but it struck me as offensive and inappropriate to do that during an event about helping and trying to start some healing. It was adding fuel to a fire that shouldn't be burning, where the focus should have been on making positive steps rather than inciting anger.

I feel the frustration when you hear about people shooting at medical convoys and rescue helicopters, the rapes and murders, and all the other litany of terrible opportunism. I get angry when I hear about it but I also recognize it's not everyone; it's a minority. This is an unprecedented disaster. There is no playbook for how to react to it. I think the government and NGO's are doing the best they can in a very catastrophic and chaotic situation. This is a time that requires cooperation from everyone and for those who are victims, their cooperation, to the extent that they can, is necessary.

I do agree with lanbrown's post and that the mayor of New Orleans should pipe down and stop cursing out everyone other than himself and his administration. He has been yelling and screaming about how the feds didn't help the city with the dike system but he's got to bear some resposibility for his city's state of emergency preparedness, just as we expect the mayor and city of Los Angeles to have disaster planning for the inevitable earthquake.

Meanwhile, I loaded up on some more water and try to make sure I have what I need when there is a major earthquake here in SoCal. (That includes a good stock of ammunition. For real.)

Persona, I am with you....

In that I will begin to build a personal arsonal and disaster stash as well....I have been meaning to do it but always put off that first weapons purchase, but you can bet your bottom $ there is an AR-15 in my future to complement a street sweeper.

Something that people need to remember is that the N.O. had the highest per capita drug dependancy rate in the United States....basically a fancy word for Junkies.....those are Crack heads out there detoxing and carrying guns they stole from Walmart. That is something that no one planned for.....

I have been thinking all week that most of the blame lies with the govenor. I may be mistaken but I think that it was her first term and it is pertty evident. I will never judge someone who stole water, food, or clothes, but a 50 inch plasma? Unless you think that society is completely destoryed and we are going to revert back to a barter system...there is really no excuse.

As far as KANYE...like the music, but keep the pie hole closed unless your going to add commentary that is both insightful and give people and idea that no one has thought off. Now if he really wanted to sound smart he could of said the following..."George Bush is not rushing to these peoples aid because they are not his base" Now that would have been insightful. He let his emotions carry his tone and that is exactly what it sounded like and emotional rant. Like others have said. Pony up some loot and put your money where you mouth is.

Speaking of which some Kuwaitie yahoo was saying earlier in the week that Katrina was a terroist from Allah because of our action in the GULF...that is a even bigger WTF...that is a pisser..to think I got shot at over 13 years ago for that mental midget. NO ONE IN THE PRESS HAS SAID A WORD...although they did bring a gift of $50million yesterday for the victims...wonder how big that envelope looks when full.....

You're venting and that's cool everybody does it whether they take the "high" ground to your remarks or not.

I'm checking CNN now for the donations by rappers to New Orleans..yah..not finding any right now.

People underestimate the time and constraints to getting 1-10,000 National Guard troops deployed. They act as if the guys are all sitting, in full gear, in a room waiting to go...that isn't how it works. Moving the equipment alone takes time.

Can you blame FEMA, certainly they have left over 50 trucks loaded with ice/water/food in a depot station because ONE member of FEMA hasn't agreed to release them yet. However, nobody seemed to be screaming from the roof top when FEMA was put under the control of Homeland Security which then reduced FEMA's funding. So as was said by one commander there is enough blame to go around.

What is important now is not making stupid comments such as "..Bush doesn't like black people", but more so to figure out what can be addressed to make sure that when tremendous natural disasters occur...we have some semblence of control.

Now IMO, I put a portion of blame on those who stayed (not the elderly, children or those in hospitals/patients or doctors). People who used the excuse "I'm poor". Well God/Allah or whomever you believe it gave you two strong legs...get to walking..and stop waiting for others to help you...take some control of your own situation.
