Hey Major...Check this out->

I was recently inspired by this short 4 minute compilation by this artist who goes by the name Raoof . It gets really good after about 30 seconds. This guy comes with so many different styles I lost count. Each a masterpiece in themselves. Not only can this guy draw and paint but he can tell a story.

That to me is the true definition of an artist. Anyone (Like Me) can copy something onto a canvas that looks real or recognizable...But to make it speak...That's true beauty.

That's my main hold up on the portrait of my son. I really want to give him some life on the canvas if I can muster up the talent and take a chance.

Anyway...Enjoy.

BTW...Turn up the volume

Now - that's cool! This kinda stuff gets my creative juices going.

It makes me want to sketch and work on my art. My favorite artist growing up was Boris Valejo and Salvador Dali. If you ever get a chance to see his work...you would be amaze. Since, I grew up in the Tampa Bay/St. Pete area I use to go to the Dali museum all the time, if I was not in the water. All my brothers and sisters (take that back - one sister, Mae can't draw a stick figure if she tried) are excellent artists. From wood, oils, photography, you name it they got some talent and it's not from my parents. Go figure!

With the new iMac, Nikon D80, and arts supplies...I should have a few pieces in the next month or two. I have decided that I am going to the Philly Art Musuem this weekend and get some "ideas" to work on. All my 5 yrs living here I have never been to the place. I think it is time.

Here's another from the same guy. Some duplication from the last but not much. I was able to get more inspiration from this one as well.

WARNING. Turn down your speakers on this one. The last soundtrack was wonderful...This one plain Sucks.

Damn - this boy is good! The guitarist on the main web site is sweet.

He does lots of scifi stuff...but, my 2 favorites from his gallery are the guy in the motorcycle (RG033) and Player (RG041).

My favorites are not listed in his on-line gallery. I like the guy painted in all red and black in both videos for abstract and some of the others not listed as his photo realistic. In the gallery on his website I'm leaning toward.

RG039 waiting room. RG022 Roya and the rug detail in RG021 Fetal is amazing.
