F**k the polar bears, and I agree with MLG. No matter how f*cked blue thinks we are, the Wal-Mart nation will vote for whoever allows them to fill their suburbans at $1.00 a gallon again, not $9.
Didn't this happen before? |

Gas prices will not decline; it's simple economics..supply and world demand. Poorly developed political theories aside, what is wrong with an HHO generator retrofit on ANY car to vastly improve gas mileage? The required electricity for electrolysis is provided by the alternator and the hydorgen produced sucked into the vacuum advance.

Did I just read Cuba and Venezuela as "good" examples? Those two countries rely on countries like China/Russia to keep them in the global game. Not sure they are good examples of anything, aside for possibly Cuba with endurance.
As for the "US needs to use less"...that has already happened posting record drops for the last 60+ years, the end result...price of oil dropping hand over fist as of late even with pipelines stopped in Nigeria. Bottom line, the US economy is still the staple of the world. That is why hiccups in the US effect the world. How many other countries could say that after only 232 years of existence? Would government involvement in oil be socialist? Yes. Is government involvement in Freddie/Fannie socialist? Yes. So..why not do oil? Medicare/Medicade/SS are all socialist endeavors. What does socialist behavior get you? Crappy economies, slow growth, low wages, low GDP and even lower innovation. Without a Capitalist market...somewhere...growth and innovation stops. IMO. As for leaving oil behind as a primary fuel, that will not happen via government. And it shouldn't. That should happen via private innovation and private capitalist effort. One example of half a dozen: http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/science...rgy/index.html US gains ![]() http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/mar...spite-economy/ GG said it best baby: http://www.americanrhetoric.com/mp3c...street1144.mp3 Quote:

Just think of the physics and laws of thermodynamics. You are going to use electrolysis to make hydrogen (H2) gas. OK. The trouble is that it takes many times more energy to make it than your car consumes. The alternator you reference would be larger than your car's engine. Just a side point, but vacuum advances went away when distributors went away, some years ago. Also, a vacuum doesn't suck. Instead, atmospheric pressure pushes.

But, if you really believe that people who do not drink out of a particular cup of cool aide need saving because they are too stupid to see The Truth, then that is kind of insulting. When you tell someone to "Wake Up" you are presenting yourself as someone who is superior in intellect and knowledge to them. Maybe you have great wisdom and are qualified to guide people along a path they cannot even see, keeping them from the Dark Forces (yes, that one) that lurk in the shadows. Or, were you the one that guided us into the bushes (yes, those) eight years ago, bushes that we are just now getting out of, all scratched and bitten by snakes. If you were that guide, then maybe check your maps and gps, get your bearings. Maybe you are the one headed in the wrong direction? |

Hydrogen isn't a fuel in the same sense as gasoline is. It is an energy storage medium. If it takes more energy to create hydrogen than you get from burning hydrogen, you can only call if a fuel saver if you have a free source of hydrogen somewhere. Read up on the Laws of Thermodynamics. Also Conservation of Energy.

Reason...He does not care that gas prices are high and he's accidentally let that slip when he mad made the comment that he was unhappy that the price went up so fast...Not that it went up. So if America was clear that Obama has no problem with gas prices being 4, 5, 6 dollars a gallon and has no intention of bringing that price down because he knows it will be YEARS for alternative fuels HE WILL LOSE THE ELECTION. PERIOD". Wake up America. What part of your post addressed my comment and what if anything is untrue about what I said? Yes...Wake up America. We are asleep at the wheel...Both parties. |
