This was authorized nearly 6-9 months ago. This isn't new and I don't know that I'd back one journalists "report" as end all be all fact.

Well, if the liberal pacifists take office they won't have the balls to do ANYTHING no matter how much of a threat they are.

IMO Iran is a saber rattler. They are no direct threat to the US, they are however a very direct threat to the Middle East. I'd be more curious to find out what back door government meetings are going on in the middle east as to how they will handle their own problems. Similar in the ways that China/Japan discussed North Korea.
The reluctance of the US citizens to get behind a plan to "attack" Iran goes heels on the fact that Iraq was piss-poorly planned. It was a glorified invasion in 2003 and a major F-up by then SECDEF for not securing the regions before wanting to go in and "claim" Baghdad. Oh, by the way so the libbys aren't shocked, the US is constantly making up "packages" on enemies..and some non-enemies, to be prepared in case something does happen. That is a defenses job, to plan and be prepared...pulling out and rebuilding/policing towns..not so much. I think we would all be shocked if you actually saw ALL the target packages that have been cooked up.

Not sure what's going on here.
however it seems like a great ploy to get the Republicans back in the White house.

Sounds to me like a simple communication on a target package, nothing more. I guess I'm just surprised that we are so excited about Iran, the US had ops plans in place for N. Korea...much less simple covert surveillance. Could it be that citizens are so petty that they value oil over life (though claiming by their banners they blame Bush for that), and the idea of $10.00 gas frightens them more then hundreds of thousands killed

Please please please don't apply the compulsory "WE" regarding this issue. This is a Bush Man choice and i would be willing to bet few people support this distorted thinking of his.

I think you missed what I meant. I mean "we" as being the US citizens about discussing anything the administration says about Iran. I wish people would just wake up and realize the US Gvt reports to them, not the other way around.

I know what you meant. I believe there are a lot of "US citizens" who don't want to be included in the conversation as if "WE" support the issues one way or the other.
