A new bar has been set. My original thought was our local socialist was just a person who is very much into big government helping others with collected tax money, sort of like a retarded Robin Hood. But now I don't know. Doesn't provide insurance for his own employees, doesn't believe programs should have to pay out....I'm at a loss

SS is supposed to provide funds to people when they reach retirement, the sad fact that your mom is no longer with us, means that she does not need it. It is kind of like buying car insurance and not having a accident.
