I think the women instigated the fight from the start. The preacher was a complete idiot but that doesn't mean he should have been punched. I would more question why someone would stand on a street corner and preach the gospel but that is just me. Personally I think she was looking for a fight by her actions when he said "you will go to jail". You can tell she wasn't looking to just walk away. I also disagree on the Muhammad being called a pedophile because I simply don't think that is true. The world is a far different place with relation to age of consent today then it was when he was alive.

Eh, they were both extremist... and both took it too far. If you go looking for a debate, you will find it. If you go looking for a fight, you will find it... If you start a debate, it may well become a fight.

Thanks for the question;

First of all Joseph was not an Apostle and therefore would not be a Saint
Second Joseph could not have been 90 years old because that would have
made him past child bearing years and of course you know after the
birth of Jesus Mary and Joseph had other children.

As far as Mary being 11 years old and Joseph there is nothing in the Bible
that would substantiate either persons age when they got married.

Aamersaadi: welcome to the forum. We have a really nice collection of members from a wide and diverse backgrounds (religion, nationality, ethnicity, political views.. etc). This is one of the few forums that I enjoy reading and participating in, mainly for the good opinionated contributions, most of the time. The reaction you received is not indicative of the people; they are extremely open-minded for the most part. However, it is somewhat understood. After all, this is your first post and it was not a car related post, it was in the lounge on a very sensitive topic…

Back to the topic:

I think I shared my views earlier. Just as Blondboisd said, it was different times. Applying the same logic Kane (son of Adam) would be accused of incest….

P.S. it is easy to say someone should keep their cool or walk away. There certain things that just touch a raw nerve that sometime the reaction is too strong to contain. Case and point my second post on this thread!!

Which is why I'm not religious. Just live my life in the best manner I see fit and possible. Live by my own rules and expectations of courtesy, manners, pride, humility, sensibility, etc. Just believe in yourself and you can't go wrong. (that last line sounded a little hallmarky)
