How could he NOT change his position after seeing the latest polls. 76% of Americans support more drilling and even a majority of California supports drilling off the California coast. I'm sure his advisers pushed him to reconsider his "position" because
1. The polls 2. He has no solid energy plan that makes sense or will make a difference. I doubt if elected he will put much weight into drilling.
