Nice I almost bought one of them till I realized my 70 mile a day commute would kill it on gas

Believe it or not the window sticker had listed it as 17 MPG City 20 MPG Hwy. I guess they must have placed a piece of wood under the accelerator petal to get those numbers. Now way either the wife or I will get that kind of milage. My 4.4 X5 averages ~ 15.5 - 16 MPG.

Yes lol my X had an SRT and it get horrid mpg in the city but the highway really is not that terrible. Be VERY careful on high curbs etc because that lower lip spoiler on the front is really far to low and will get cracked and/or ripped off in no time

Maybe if you accelerate like grandma and keep it under 40mph

Last I checked they were closer to 10mpg in real driving.

That 2" clearance front lip has already been drilled into my wife because she had a tendency to drag the front lip of her earlier 300C over the parking space curbs. This front spoiler of the SRT8 won't clear a large rock let alone one of those cement stops.

Even so I'm already expecting to replace the front clip several times during the life of the car.

Hey...maybe you'll be better

But I was looking at two black SRT8's before I got the Maxima. I was set to buy the thing, till I really calculated the gas numbers as a daily driver. It would have been the equivalent (fuel wise) of driving my Expedition EL to work
