Chinese Grand Prix - Spoiler
Hamilton now has a 7 point lead over Masa going into the last race of the year in Brazil. That means that to overtake Hamilton in the points standing, Masa has to come 1 or 2, and Lewis has to finish no higher than 7th if Masa wins, or out of the points if Masa comes in 2nd. A 5th place finish will clinch it for Hamilton no matter what Masa achieves. Should Kimi Raikkonnen have given up his 2nd place position to let Masa keep his chances alive for the championship? When Ferrari did this previously (slowing to let a team mate overtake for a win) it created a furor, but it seems that it is OK now. In other news, there was some discussion about the Canadian Grand Prix coming back for next year. The teams apparently want to go to Montreal, F1 management wants to go, but there is the small matter of $20 million owing in back fees from the race organizers that needs to be settled first.

I'm not a fan of the whole Lewis-mania that is going on. It will be interesting to see how the final GP goes in terms of the Drivers Championship, but I'm not that interested this year. Kimi Räikkönen FTW.
I was glad that BMW ended up with a solid 5-6 finish, with Nick Heidfeld in the 5th position. BMW Sauber is a strong team and has superb machines, but will need more work before becoming a true contender to the top two teams. |

should be an interesting final race...Hamilton has the same 7 pts advantage over Massa as he had last year over kimi and ended up loosing...
He needs to learn how to play it SAFE in Brazil, because Ferrari will dominate there, and is something that Lewis needs to work on.... I hope Massa can pull it off

Clean race for Hami
Massa shouldn't win the DC. He's nothing but a time-attack driver. Can't do anything other than qualify and lead the race...when it's dry. Too bad because he seems like a good guy. Really if he won the DC, there wouldn't an asterix next to his name, there'd be two or three from all the penalties given in Spa and Fuji. Heikki has got to step up his game next season. He doesn't have to be challenging Lewis, but he does need to be able to quali at least P3 and hold it for the duration of a race. |
