Btw.. so I called Hilti, and come to fine out a large majority of their power tools are now being made in China.. told them, thanks but no thanks.. at least many Makita are still US "Assembled" or "Made"

It's so sad how much of the world's production has gone over to a Godless communist country that has no problem giving anti-freeze tainted tooth paste to their own people when the US rejected them, or paints toys with lead based paint!

So much for the "Free Trade" myth.. Thank you Walmart!

There's a bunch of people trying to sell near new MAC Cabinets on craigslist. You wouldn't guess how much I got mine for. I picked it up from a garage sale in my neighborhood. It was sitting right between a almost brand new RV and 24' sport boat and pair of seadoo's. Looked like this family didn't get much time to enjoy all their toys before going bankrupt

If it's just for home use there's no reason to get anything other than Craftsman for hand tools.

Torque wrench is an important tool. I wouldn't buy anything other than Snap-on or Mac or Proto on this one. Even if you buy new, I'd have it calibrated since even though their quality is great, they're not always in spec from the factory. Once calibrated though, they hold it very well.

You want some industrial quality power tools..look at Ingersoll Rand.

Cool, didn't think about Craigs List..

And yes, totally know about Ingersoll Rand... goal is to get an air system from them (entry level) installed. I know what you mean about craftsman, but I played with it and found it didn't feel as nice in my hands as Snap On. On a good note, I discovered Knipex pliers while at the Sears.. As with everything German, they're beyond reproach in terms of quality..

here is a site that has some nice close ups of their stuff:

thread update.... all items are in except an item or two.. There are a few redundancies but I'll sort that out as I decide what will get more use and what will collect dust.

That was quick!.. Love the Snap-on box. May I ask how much ?? Make sure you use those locks and keep a cheap set of handtools and powerdrill inside the house for the wife! Anyways nice collection! Might I recommend www.mcminone.com if you're looking for some decent priced quality precision tools because just like cigars, watches, money and ammo, you can never have enough.

Or you could go get a great full body massage with "happy ending" which sounds more personalized and enticing to me than a stripper just teasing you...

Just tell her you need YOUR economy stimulated!

Very nice! You sure do move quickly. The Snap-On box is very nice. The color is great. After lakai's suggestion I checked Craigslist and there are indeed a ton of Snap-On, Matco, and Mac tool boxes for sale. Most of the ones I saw in my area are huge.

Now get to work!
