I was right

Blue, the Mkt was sagging like a 5 buck card table until the
Sec of Treas announcement, late in the day...calling this mkt,
imo, is less accurate than throwing the proverbial dart.

Don't hurt your arm patting yourself on the back...

The key is to forecast often, I bet the market will go up again on Monday and Tuesday.

Funny, I heard the exact opposite on the radio this morning... that it's going to be a down day and the near future isn't looking much brighter.

Up about 15% since the middle of last week, and up over 125% in the last 5 years. I'd say it's a pretty good and steady long term investment with minimal risk.

The only time gold does not do well is when the market is doing extremely well, and even then you don't see large drops.

Not a gold expert, ( I do own some, both reg & of numismatic quality),
but before you toss up a snapshot comparo stat, you might do a lil'
digging with "price" vs inflation adj price, and look back a few months
when those gold bugs bought it at its recent top. If you think it's a
"steady long term investment with minimal risk", throw some dough at
it, but that's a pretty glib comment on your part, imo. We aren't shopping
for cauliflower.

I don't think it's a "bad" investment, and ought to be part of any good
sized port. But, unless it's Apocalypse Now, I wouldn't bet my ranchettes on
being a huge gold bug, imo.
