Merrill Lynch & Co.’s predicts that oil will hit $25 a barrel.
Now I wish I purchased the Z06 Corvette instead. |

Even with lower fuel prices, one should always try to minimise fuel consumption whenever possible. I'm afraid that with $1,70/US gallon petrol prices, folks are gonna forget that prices can shoot up very quickly, and that driving is a privilege, not a right. The good news is that diesel is down too, at around $2,89/US gallon around here.
Funny thing is, I started out minimising fuel consumption years ago when driving. Thus, I had no need to alter my driving habits whether petrol is $4,50 or $1,90/US gallon. I drive like petrol costs €1,60/litre. |

I know that my driving habits have gone from ~300 miles a month at the minimum to... well, a lot now. My car only had 32K a month ago, 34 and change now. I finally get my oil change at Hendrick next wednesday! :yay: |

Slightly OT
Anyone else notice an increase in traffic since the fuel prices have dropped?
My 14 mile commute takes about 20-25 minutes in the summer and normally increases in September to 40-45 minutes. There was no change in traffic this fall, my commute has been a The past few weeks all the traffic is back but I paid $2/gal for V Power this morning.

.Meiac, I get overtaken by everyone including commuter busses and tractor trailers off the line at most intersections. But after a few hundred metres, I overtake them again because Americans let off at like, 50mph. I don't let off until I reach my mental speed limit for the road (usually 68mph). |

What's funny is my cost to fill my tank in my Mini Cooper. The Cooper is the first really fuel efficient car I have had. Prior to this one, I've never even had a car that got more than 23 mpg highway. Last week I filled up the Cooper with premium for $27. That $27 will get me 450-500 miles. The last time I was able to fill up my car for $27 was when I was in college.

This sustained for about 100 miles until I hit the worst traffic ever (Between tourists and boston, I've seen some hellish trips. This was insane) and it dropped to 33.1 (verified) Its amazing what properly filled tires (and keeping it under 100) will do. |
