I am doing a huge generalization this true; it is true of most sterotypes.

Like I first said the Jetta is a nice car and whether some view it a girls car would not stop me from buying it.

I drive a station wagon and don't care if its not a macho as a SUV.

Blue,

Just because someone is gay does not mean they are effeminate. I personally know a number of gay dudes that could snap you in half like a twig, while making fun of your station wagon as they drive by you in their Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo of the week.

Second, I get a good laugh at people when they call cars a chick car. The exception to the rule being, a BUG/Cab.
- My friends do this all the time. I recommend a car to them and they say, "that's a chick car".. To which I laugh.
- The Neon, when colored and optioned correctly can be a cool ass car. Same goes for MX-5.. We race those cars for cryin out loud. And they are a blast...
- I've even heard people say that about the Mini Cooper. To which I want to smack them. Just cause a car is small doesn't make it a chick car. And just cause a car doesn't have high horse power, doesn't make it a chick car either.
Those cars are also exceptional handling cars, again, optioned properly.

All of those cars, bug and cab excluded, are actually, fun little sports cars. Guys bring them to the track all the time and if you know how to momentum drive, bring a great field of racing..

I bet I could drive a Dodge Neon in circles around you. Then lets see you call it a girls car as I whip buy you at 130mph with the tail out.

It's not about what you drive, it's about how you drive it. And a soccer mom station wagon that has never seen a track or an apex is much more of a girl car than a supercharged, well optioned, Cooper S that's slamming it's way around Mulholland..

So in summary, concern yourself less with what is and is not a "girl" car. Cause most of the cars you mentioned, I'd be happy to get behind the wheel of a spank you silly.

I think you are are not on the same page, I don't really care if a station wagon is not the most Mucho car around. I also don't care if it is the fastest car around. Call it is a soccer moms car so what, the car meets my needs and I am man enough not to need to drive the fastest much macho car on the road.

I still think that some people view Jettas as girls car, I have provided two quotes to support that generalization. The Jetta is a fine car and represents a lot of car for the money.

I don't think calling a Jetta girls car is a big deal so go cool off and have a good day.

PS here is thread with you calling the new X5 which is more of a soccer mom car

I guess only you can make generalization since you drive so well?

Umm, calling a car a soccer mom car is not nearly the same thing as calling a car girly.

- The new X5, with the introduction of 7 seats, was going after a different market than the market it had before. That market is called the soccer mom market because of it's ability to haul more kids. And I say kids because the back seats are not big enough for adults.. Hence, Soccer Mom. And the X6 was introduced to retain the X5 buyers who did not need the extra room that the soccer moms were asking for.

Now if the Jetta came with a tampon dispenser, I might be inclined to agree with your argument.

I must protest to all posters on this thread using the "chick" word I am sure that it's a infringement to my being a "girl" human rights.

I feel violated.

Can you all please apologies to me and stop using the word "chick" as I find it derogatory to my kind.

I would like to be the first to apology for use the word, chick.

From future on, I only use chick word when referring to small poultry type animal that tastes delicious with hot sauce..
