Yes, Grimaldi's is only a few blocks from me - excellent pizza!
I haven't been to Koi yet, but I have been to Nobu a few times (another fine Morimoto establishment) ...

Nobu is not owned by Morimoto. Acutally, there is another Japanese chef named Nobu Matsuhisa who started nice gourmet restaurant in L.A. called Matsuhisa. Then he started other ones in L.A., NYC, Vegas called Nobu.

Here is his website: http://www.nobumatsuhisa.com/flash/home.html

However, jealous that you live close to a Grimaldi's....Have you ever been to the original one in Brooklyn.

Also, there is another NYC Italian restaurant that I thought had excellent service, portions, etc. and they treat you like a King and you need a King's ransom for it, but Il Mulino is also great. They just opened one up in Las Vegas in Ceasar's. They also opened Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Vegas as well (pretty soon, all the big NYC restaurants will be out in Vegas). Love Todd English's Olives as well (Boston and Vegas).

If you ever go to Koi, try their "Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice"! It is quite addictive. If it is too spicy, then chase it down with some good sake!
