Anybody have a Cadillac CTS (2008 upwards)?

just wondering if its any good

Its available in the UK, and the improved interior is really good.
Plus for £27 you get a FULLY loaded car! brand new too!

but is it worth it? or is it just a tin can that can get you from A to B?
thanks

I have a friend with a 2nd gen CTS non-V and I couldn't be more unimpressed with the vehicle. The vehicle looks good minus the cheap lower bumper trim, typical GM oversight. Move inside and the interior leather leaves much to be desired and I found the interior plastics cheap and bland.

My Friend's CTS is a loaded model with the larger V6 (3.6?) and It's a beautiful shade of red, good paint color but he has had many quality issues with it, several problems related to the power drivers seat, alarm and radio system, overall he isn't impressed.

That's actually amazing considering that every major reviewer posts the CTS very high. Not sure how heavy to weigh one persons account I know the early 1st gen CTS V's had all kinds of issues.

Anecdotal, but a geezer friend of mine has one: I've ridden in it
several times and driven it twice. Helluva Caddy, imo.
Very good go, handles well, and put together well.

then you're not taking about the newest CTS. Interior is very well put together and very well designed. THe V looks first class and much better put together than even the E70 interior. The lower trims are also all painted or in chrome/brush alum.

I had a 1st Gen V for 4 1/2 years. I was 1st on the list at my dealer for the 2nd gen, and would've bought it in a minute, but had to let it go for some personal reasons.

The point is, the 2nd gen is a huge upgrade over the first. Fit, finish, and material quality in the 2nd Gen is what us 1st Gen owners were always wishing for.

The direct injection model is supposed to be a great engine. I have not driven one of those, though. I've been in the standard one, and it is a very nice car.

I actually think the base models are a little pricey. If you're in the market for 500+ hp, the V is a deal.
