Cool pics from a late night adventure

Late night roadtrip through the NC and SC mountains with a friend. I was simply screwing with my P+S shutter speed, flash, etc... so some pics were an epic fail, but there are probably some good ones somewhere.

Total distance: 93 miles with one big detour, used about 4.5 gallons. I figured that $10 on gas is a much better life decision than spending that on alcohol It was a great adventure, with plenty of "ooh"ing at amazing twisties, and some nice views on a clear night.

FYI US-276 to US-64 to US-178 to SC-11

Cool Pics, MEiac...
You could have kept going on 276 over the Mtns and checked on our
Mtn Joint for us.

No kidding on the "amazing twisties", huh?! Some of the finest 2 lane
blacktops east of the Rockies, imo. I have driven or, ridden a m'cycle,
on every good road in western NC. Fabulous. And, yes the Sawbuck
spent on gas was better than a 6 pack, imo.

Ok, I am officially jealous. . I think I'd have to drive a couple hours Southwest in order to find anything like that. I get a few km of decent roads around here, but it's all done in about a minute or two.

Then again, I suppose if I went around bends like my hair was on fire, I'd wear out my winter tires even faster.

And yes, any sign with the NC state line is
