I am very confident in my Antivirus. I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 (Ok, it does offer more than just antivirus...) and would not ever go back to anything else. The only competitor to Kaspersky is NOD32, Norton and McAfee can't keep up....

Norton 360 on all mine, except one desktop that we use more as a server than anything; it has AVG Free on it.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus v3.0. That's all I've used since I built this new computer in July of '08. Very unobtrusive and seems to do a great job.

Very confident in my ability to block viruses, spyware, rootkits, etc.
I've used most Antivirus and Spyware products out there. Only one that I disliked was McAfee. I used Norton products for years but not running any now. For the last year, I have been using a product that has gone through a number of name changes, but is now called "Webroot AntiVirus with AntiSpyware". This product has worked really well for me in that it does not use too many cycles; it combines AntiVirus and AntiSpyware; its shields against bad websites is excellent; and is updated frequently. It has an annual subscription. Anyway, that my recommendation If you do get it, I suggest you ignore the Backup option...

I use AVG & Ewido(the old school app before AVG bought them)
but I haven't had a virus since I installed a firewalled router. |

Well, my older Win XP PCs/laptops all run Norton---so far so good. But use common sense and don't go to funky websites. Hate that you have to scan your PCs all the time. On my Mac, no anti-virus on OS X, but I also have Win XP loaded up on the Mac and I did get VM Fusion Ware which came with McAfee for free. Hardly use WinXP on the Mac except for certain things for work.
Anyhow, for the Mac experts, I really don't need any anti-virus for the Mac?
