Don't mess with the X

So I'm out with my wife last night picking up a couple of Fraps at Starbucks. We leave and pull onto a four lane to head back home, and we're zipping along in the X3 doing about 100 kph in an 80 zone when a Jeep Grand Cherokee pulls right in about two car lengths behind me. We were approaching a sharp merge onto the westbound highway that takes us out of the city and home, (speed limit of only 40 kph on the corner) and the guy was still on my tail so I figured I would have a little fun with him. I told my wife to hang on and we hit the corner at 100 without me ever touching the brake. In an instant we're through and the X3 exits the corner flat, clean, and without a twitch. Beautiful. I look in my rearview and see the Cherokee's headlights swinging back and forth across the road just before they disappeared into the ditch. Heh heh heh... nasty trick, I know, but BOY I love the way that thing handles.

LOL.... good one. I can't believe the guy is such an idiot to think that he could do the same manuever on his jeep. Hope he's OK, though.

I don't think it's nasty. You didn't force him to follow you - he did it on his own. Probably did him a favor by showing him the limits of his Jeep.

There's something about Jeep drivers that make them prone to this sort of thing. I had a Grand Cherokee fish tail back and forth 3 times behind me on a highway exit thinking he could keep up. Lucky for him he didn't ditch it because he would have rolled.

Were you on the Sarcee turn-off to Highway 8? That's a nasty merge when the turn light is green coming from the other direction.

Elbow Valley Nice community. It's a smaller world than you think - I live 5 minutes from you in Signal Hill (Sienna West).
