Great deal on Thinkpad T43 at Buy.Com $290!

This is a great deal on refurbished IBM Thinkpad T43 for $290. The Thinkpad T43 is a workhorse, very solid laptop.

Dayum... that's almost stealing it. Bump it up to 2GB of ram and a bigger HD and it will be good to go.

Yup that is exactly what I did. I ordered one, ordered 2g from another site and I already have a 80g IBM HD that will fit this. I already have few laptops but at that price I could not pass on this one. The reviews from people who bought this laptop from Buy.com say that the laptop look brand new although it is refurbished.

I just ordered 2GB (2x1GB) from Newegg.com. Just use the configurator on the left side of this page: I think it was like $12 a stick! LOL!

Newegg.com - Memory, DDR, DDR2, DDR3, Memory Stick, Memory Card, Computer Memory, SD Memory Card, Memory Stick Duo, Computer RAM

btw- there are 2 banks on a T43, 1 accessible from the bottom of the laptop and 1 under the keyboard, you'll hvae to remove the keyboard to add the 2nd stick. instructions are on lenovo.com

Another great reason to get this solid laptop as it's already considered "old technology" so parts are very cheap!
