Hockey is back!

Man is it good to have NHL hockey back. From what I saw, I like it. The speed and flow of the game are better than before. You can tell that the players are still adjusting to the new rules but it should prove to be a very exciting season. It was strange watching hockey on the Outdoor Life Network though.

My Canucks handed Gretzky his first loss as a coach.

Sorry, man, but talk about a sport nobody missed. I'd watch it more, but don't feel fighting should be allowed to be part of the game. Mostly gave up on the NBA because of the same reasons. They don't enforce the rules! They have created mutated versions in the name of "entertainment". If that were so, how come "March Madness" is such a winner?

Basketball blows, you can watch the last 5 minutes of any basketball game and have not missed a thing. Unlike the other 3 majors where the first minute or the last minute can determine the outcome of the game.

Hockey was missed, and it was missed BIG TIME, i'm glad it's back.

Now if I can just get Jim Dolan to pull his head out of his ass and stop blacking out OLN when the rangers are the national game on OLN i'll be happy. Nothing like spending $4k on season tickets, AND being a Cablevision subscriber only to have Jim/Chuck Dolan try to squeeze another $5/month out of you to get OLN so taht you can actually root for the team that they own. Having the fucking Islanders on MSG last night instead of the Rangers and the Rangers blacked out was a HUGE slap in the face to Rangers fans. Dolan & Co. will never understand. Ever. losers.

I forked over the $5 for last night. I'm going to call back today and cancel. They can charge me 1/30th of a month. Bastages!

Hockey is back. I'm loving life, though I want my Rangers to lose the next 79 games and get the 1st pick in the draft. Trade Jar (who was awesome last night) for some young studs, and really rebuild. And dammit, resign Brian Leetch next year!

have you been on the new rangers message board? Dolan is getting clobbered over there, and rightly so.

check it out...

I couldn't agree more with the fact that basketball games are only interesting in the last few minutes. I'm not a fan of basketball and frankly, I don't understand all of the penalties. All I know is that there are way too many whistles and the play is so choppy. It seems like there is some kind of infraction and subsequent whistle every 2 minutes.

I was so pissed off last night. Mark Cuban and his HDNet infuriated me last night. For two weeks I was looking forward to watching the Canucks-Coyotes in HD as HDNet was supposed to broadcast it. Instead, they either inadvertantly or purposely had some concert of has-been rock 'n rollers. The on-screen information was "NHL Hockey" but what I was watching was not hockey.

It was blacked out because OLN had and exclusive last night, check out channel 608 next time. OLN has an exclusive on Mondays too, it's going to be a real guessing game as to what channel games will be each night for the rest of the season. Try having 3 NHL teams, 2 NBA, and 2 NFL all in the same TV market, you never know what channel to watch.
