Shipping golf clubs

Going to Kapalua for a golf trip later this month and don't want the hassle of lugging golf clubs on the plane with me. Anyone have any recommendations as to a shipping service where they specialize in this? I've seen some on the web, but not sure how good they are.

I'd rather not rent clubs, b/c I like mine too much.

Shipping them to the hotel is your best bet as you can set it up so that they get there the day you do arrive. I just woudn't want the clubs sitting around too long before you get there. Also, make sure you coordinate it with the hotel's concierge and bell services. I have worked in a hotel's bell services department and unless we know about it in advance, a mysterious set of golf clubs arriving would cause some confusion.

Having said all of that, I live in a huge golf destination and see plenty of golf bags on the luggage carousels at the airport. Get a nice travel case and it shouldn't be too tough. Plus you have the security of knowing your prized clubs are with you.

As they said, FedEx or UPS 'em, but it is Not inexpensive espc. if you don't have access to a commercial "ship from" site, eg a biz. Hard shell case is good, but they do have golf bag brown boxes. You may find it so pricey that The Best set of rentals is cheaper and none of the hassle. Hit 'em straight!

I'd take em with ya. Have shipped a few times and the case looks the worse for wear afterwards makes you wonder how high the dropped the case from with some of the dings and dents, plus the cost.

Have travelled with mine on United all over the world with a hard case and the wear and tear is definitly better when they travel with you.
