Just admit you're trying to look at some naughty stuff and hit up on teenage girls on Myspace.com. :p
Grab a laptop with WiFi and hit your nearest hotspot.

Have you tried http://www.anonymizer.com/ (top right corner of that page) or the other freebie proxy sites?

Yea these corporate firewalls are nasty. We have them here too. Once wireless broadband gets down in price (it's still $60/mo) I'm getting one. People can talk with their co-workers for 2 hours, take a long lunch and a smoke break, and I can't surf the web for a little bit? Kind of sad if you ask me.

being the keeper of the "company firewall" at my company, the reason so much is blocked is that users could give 2 shits about what sites they go to and if they infect their company owned PC. Which, once it gets infected because of said web surfing, the user bitches and moans that the machine is slow and at how long it's taking to clean it up.
and THAT gentlemen, is why we bad ol' IT guys block so much with a firewall. carry on
