This company has been doing this since January of 2008. Verizon Wireless filed a lawsuit against them over a year ago citing over 2 million illegal telemarketing calls to their subscribers. AT&T has sued them. Missouri Attorney General sued in Mar 2008, along with AGs from other states, and they settled. But the calls continue!

We started joking around with them in the shop... 25 techs with a sense of humor! We try to get coverage for our 1985 chevette, then out 08 Bugatti Veyron... I pulled out a move from Seinfeld. "I'm kinda busy right now, can I get your number and call you back? No? So you don't like random people calling you when you're sitting at home eating dinner with your family? WELL ME NEITHER!!!!"

I don't know what it will take to get them to stop other than time, but at least I started having fun with it since I know there's nothing I can do to stop it... otherwise I would be a crazy person!

Clearly we think alike. Get calls everyday, often fax and phone (separate lines) ring at the exact same time. I've started having fun too. 1917 AMC Gremlin daily driver. 2009 Lambo Gallardo, etc. Once got a high school-ish kid who said "NICE!" to the Lambo, then asked when warranty expires, I told him next year, he said he'll call back next year and hung up. Calls resumed next day. Another guy wanted to sell me an extended warranty for my car, I said which one, he said the "newest," to which I replied, okay the one I got 3 weeks ago, to which he replied the warranty had expired on it and I need an extended one. Okay, makes sense. Education level somewhere between ice cube and tree stump.

The carpet cleaning ones are the worst. Caught them flat out lying a few times when I asked for their location or phone number the woman actually gave me a fake number that I dialed on another phone while I still had her on. When I told her the number she just gave me was fake she hung up. Since then when in the mood I have fun and go ahead and schedule a whole house carpet cleaning. Long story short, Playboy mansion has the cleanest carpets in the Western Hemisphere.
