Here's the deal, when you finance a used car you are still financing a lot of money. That means higher monthly payments. And at the end of the finance you have a very old car which is hard to offload and certainly you won't be ahead of book value, probably $2500 behind book.

So unless you plan on keeping the car for 5-6 years and the car is a 2006 which means it's already 4 years old.. Save yourself the hassle.

Lease a new car, have lower payments. Don't invest in a depreciating asset that will be near impossible to sell in 3-5 years with the risk of being upside down.

Lease, get in, get out.. Just make sure you lease well.

That's my opinion.


I love the new Q5. It's beautiful and wicked fun to drive. I'm thinking it may be the Treg's replacement when the lease is up.
