I bet that the pirates will avoid US vessels for a while.

So thinking about this, the lifeboat was fully enclosed. Were the pirates stupid enough to be standing on the deck or were the SEALS' sniper rifles equipped with heat sensing scopes?

If it's the latter, I want one of those...

You would hope, but somehow I don't think they will learn... not one bit.

One was on deck, and the other two were sticking their heads out to get some fresh air. Their last breaths.....

Too bad they missed one. It's now gonna cost taxpayers $50 million to take him to trial and all the rest of that nonsense, since he's 'innocent' at this point.

BTW, forgot to mention it before if you like Seals (not the animal kind) then I suggest reading a book called "Rogue Warrior" by Richard Marcinko. One of the best leisure reads I've ever read and an absolutely incredible biography. I think the difference between the Seals that hit those Somali's and Seal Team Six is that instead of 3 shots and 3 kills, they would have killed all 3 with just 1 bullet.

Also, would highly recommend Discovery Channel's SEAL-selection DVD set:

Navy SEALs Training DVD Set, Discovery Channel DVDs & Books Best Sellers , Discovery Channel Store

Its a 3-DVD set about the men of BUDS class 234. BUDS stands for Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL. You will quickly understand why SEALs are the most elite special force on the planet (no disrespect to US Rangers or British SAS). This 5-hour DVD experience grabs you by the "cohones", and immerses you in the most punishing physical and psychological training and selection known to man.
These 3 DVDs cover everything from Log PT to Hell Week to Dive/Para training.

I consider myself a pretty strong guy: I have a 405-pound bench press and a 2nd Dan black belt. But I can assure you I would drop out of BUDS on like the third day and run away like a scared puppy.

The few guys that graduate from BUDS are made of steel. Their neuro-physiological threshold for pain and cold water is abnormally high. I'm pretty sure it's 90% genetics. You are either able to tolerate ice cold water for hours on end, or you can't. No amount of training will change this. Also, even the best physical athletes in the class drop out because of the unrelenting psychological pressure. Their fear is justified: there is always a real risk of drowning, hypothermia, joint dislocation, etc. It is training on the edge of death. The guys that remain are the ones that have no fear and do not allow their mind to play tricks on them.

And now the crew files a lawsuit against the company that owns the freighter. Don't you just love the American way.
