Cloud vs. Mobilme

I'm seriously considering dumping my iPhone for the Pre when it comes out..

But my concern is, I love Mobilme. I love the fact that all my contacts, calendars, email, etc. on all my computers syncs seamlessly.

Someone told me that Pre has a software that is called Cloud, that will do the same thing, without having to switch software, etc.

Does anyone know anything more specific?

thanks.

Is Pre Cloud like Mobile Me for Apple? - TreoCentral.com

Found this on google. Why are considering dumping your iPhone? I love mine and am looking forward to the latest one.

I can't stand not having a qwerty keyboard anymore.. The touch screen sucks for typing emails, IM's, etc.. It gives me a headache just trying to type..

And my service through ATT in Los Angeles is beyond bad.. Sprint has a good network out here.

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
What you really need for email is a BB and Verizon service.

If a BB sync'd seamlessly with my Mac's.. I would..

The brilliant thing about my iphone is the userface..

Whenever I change or add a contact or calender or email, it updates all the information on ALL my computers.. They all are connected seamlessly.

I'm told that Cloud will do the same thing..

As far as I know, BB has nothing of the sort.. I even have to tether the phone to sync to my cpu..

I have 3 macs, a mobile me account, a blackberry storm(verizon), and missing sync for blackberry. Whenever my storm gets close to my mac, it automatically syncs all my contacts, calendar and more via bluetooth, i think every minute if you really want it to.
Missing Sync is a great app for Mac and Blackberry.

I have tried every service provider in Diamond Bar (Near Anaheim) and the best was Sprint then Cingular (AT&T).

I have to agree with you that the iphone is one of the best and easiest devices to sync with. For the Blackberry, there is Pocket Mac which is from Blackberry and syncs with your mac. There are other ones to like solproduction23 mentioned.

Also, it may be worth it waiting a couple weeks for the new iPhones to launch. The new 3.0 interface is supposed to fix many problems. As for the phone, we may get a iphone pro with a qwerty keyboard.

If you like Nokia, N97 is a new device which has a keyboard as well as some very high specs such as 32gb memory. It is a phone worth checking out.

Sorry to hear about your negative experiences with the iPhone.
We just got back from SoCal (Duarte Ca) and had no reception
problems.

Touch screen typing for me became easier when i figured out how
the touch screen keyboard works and how to touch it in order
to input information.

I believe the 3.0 revision will provide a larger keyboard
which may help you. Hang in there.
