Apparently some Russian guy wanted to stand out in the crowd just a tad more than the fully chrome plated dudes so he went and 'gold plated' yes, Gold Plated the entire shell of his M5, as you do: Jalopnik - Gold-Plated BMW M5 Makes Chrome-Plating Look So Passé - Gold-Plated BMW M5 Make sure you scroll down and check out the Delorean and the Porsche, both also gold plated. Note how he must of run out of rubles and had to settle for plain old powder coated black rims, WTF  Sheesh, can't think of anything to top that  , can you ??

as stupid as it sounds, I like it, I think the color is much more appealling then chrome, the night shots look very cool, .......doesn't work so much for the Delorean or that porsche, .......what about a Viper with scales in gold

Nice pick up of the vid man. Driving like he does through the burbs, I hope he's got an 18 carat touch up pen 'cause that mofo drives his M5 like, well, like a kid with a brand new license.

I don't know who drives worse, the M5 or the guy recording him... I suspect that it is just painted rather than gold plated like the chrome cars were.
