It's not expensive in Monaco if you go to the normal places. My son & I had a pasta lunch with beers on the beach in Monte Carlo and the total bill was 28 Euro. Then there was the Monte Carlo Beach Club that wanted 60 Euro each per day just to get in. We stayed in Nice just 10 miles away at the Best Western for 128 USD/night and Nice is a fun town. If anyone goes make sure you go to "Wayne's" one night. It's a bar with a fun atmosphere as it's mostly Americans and British letting loose. LOTS of hot gals in Nice too!!!

Top pics of beautiful cars n boats in a beautiful place on earth, albeit an expensive place.
I backpacked through Monarco back in the mid 80's and have fond memories of walking part of the track, the pallace, casino etc.

It is one amazing place if you like cars. I've been there several times and like to see the line up of cars parked outside the Grand Casino or the Lowes (the Gran Prix runs underneath the outside deck) overlooking the harbor.
