WTF is with the "ugly butt" phenomenon? This, the panamera (barf) and that godawful 5er GT? Is it supposed to make americans feel like they aren't alone in having increasingly big asses?

Ahh you've got a point. Perhaps the Renault Megane in the background should also be sold in the US.

Clearly, the lame "4-door coupé GT" is now the fad amongst the luxury auto marques.

It's a Renault Megane.

I loved it when Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear imitated the French expression for a Megane: "GRrrrrrrr! Im very angry for having such a big bottom! GRRrrrrr!
