The 100 photographs that changed the world..

Hello!

All this discussion of Neda got me thinking about the images that changed our world and brought a human face to those struggles.

I have included the 2 images that never left my mind (I'm a history buff)

Feel free to post yours!

Interesting thread, I'm sure you'll trigger quite a few responses.

For mine, I believe an image that has stayed with me since it happened was when Neil Armstrong stepped foot on the moon, way back on the 20th July 1969. Not so much a face to the human struggle more so a first time achievement for humankind. I was a young lad in primary school at the time and saw it live (in b & w) and even today marvel at what a great accomplishment it was. Apparently Mars is on shaky ground with a similar visit planned.

Here is one

It pretty much ended the concept of world war.
Nuclear weapons are interesting, most people argue that third world nations should not have them since they may be irresponsible and may use them. So how that means we are better/smarter than them?

sorry you had to go through that.
Living history is much different than reading history.
I was 1 mile away, intense day.
