Apparently fist pumping, lifting, hair spray, fake nails, gold chains, table flipping and first names ending in "y" are still legal, so they still have a lot going for themselves.

Babyproofing the world for the idiots who simply can't accept the fact that they're not multitaskers behind the wheel. Lowering speed limits, no cellphones, now GPS...pretty soon i'll be getting pulled over for not having two hands on the wheel or not wearing sunglasses when the weather is nice. When are we gonna start pulling old ass people off the highways that have 20 second reaction times and do 15 under in the fastlane...oh, wait, that's not PC.

Yes, all of them. That is why I love it here.

I was actually laughing as I typed that first post. Just looking to get a rise. No hard feelings.

So is generalizing by making other drivers suffer due to other peoples ignorance....welcome to the US - land of placing our blame on other people instead of owning up to our faults, failures and incompetence. Damn it, I just spilled my Starbucks coffee!!! Pay me!

As I understand it the bill specifies that only a voice-activated GPS
may be programmed while driving which means they don't want drivers
trying to dial in directions manually while driving. Sounds like common sense to me.

The CEO does ours from the passenger seat when I'm driving
because I don't believe it would be wise for me to do so.
Who can argue with that.

exactly..... the bill only restricts "manually programming a gps while driving" which most gps devices restrict already anyway.

I seldom use our GPS; sucks on local knowledge...
does this bill mean I can't unfold my big Rand-McNally,
in front of my face, while I'm doing 80 up the GSP?

Congress at state & Fed level: dreaming up more
"rules", so they can pack their pork into the "bill', imo.
And, more "codes" that will only get enforced on the
glaringly obvious or unlucky...

Some funny glittering gens in this thread; I find the
gens to mostly be right on, over time.
