i never suggested brit engineering is best , i bought a new land rover in 2001 and left it to rot in 2002 cos it was a piece of shit , i also bought a used toyota land cruiser amazon cos folks lamented about it`s reliability but it was a piece of shit just like the other 4 of them running around this area , i then bought a used x5 cos folks said they were amazing but as we all know the only amazing fact is how badly they are built .
at least the land cruiser would keep going through it`s faults .
bmw learned what they know from brit motor industry .
us aircraft manufacturers generally know what they know from brit engineers .
and i do like ford because they are not pretentious .

And the last thing the test pilot saw was a message saying "Engine 1 in Failsafe mode"!
