Yeah, her name was Teisha. That was one cool lizzard. I used to walk her on a leash back when, very mild temperemented and could be held/handled by anyone. She became a demonstrator for the zoo for use with kids when we couldn't keep her anymore.

She used to climb up the back of my shirt and look over my shoulder while keeping her tail wrapped around my leg to keep it off the ground while walking around. (note that most monitors don't have this kind of temperment, which is what made this one perfect for the zoo to use with kids)

These are snakes I found in my backyard:
- Blacksnake
- Brown Watersnake
- Northern Greensnake
- Eastern Kingsnake
- Garter Snake
- Ringnecked Snake
When I first moved to my house I killed any snake I saw, but later once I learned which one is what and that they are not poisenous I left them alone.

Yeah...snakes don't bother me, but spiders creep me the fvck out! I am absolutely terrified of them.

i remember when i was about 12 years old waking up to see a one eyed snake slithering out the top of my shorts , scary or what .
