I'm just waiting to see how much of GM is left after all is said and done... The new camaro may be the only saving grace for them...

GMC Trucks/SUV's, Caddy, Corvette, G8, Malibu, Camaro, Solstice/Sky, Cobalt....

That's all they need. I never understood the rebranding of modesl across brands strategy that the big 3 employed for years and years.

I actually thought the G6 was nice. I had a rental a few months back and it actually drove fairly decent.

I guess I won't be able to realize my dream of owning a new Aztek.

Pontiac has been dead for years. Now it's official.

Can somebody explain why the G8 should be saved? It's Pontiac's biggest and most blatant ripoff of BMW styling elements. It should go straight to car design hell.

Graft on a Chevy front end and voila, you have an Impala SS.

GM still needs to divest itself of Saab which is pretty much gutted beyond repair. There is still duplicity between Saturn, the GM Euros (Vauxhall and Opel), and Holden. If I'm not mistaken, Opel mirrors the entire Saturn lineup.

Pontiac had front kidney grills BEORE BMW did. So who ripped off whom? That being said, there are a lot of differences in styling. The G8 has fogs, a split lower fascia, different lights, different side mirrors, different hood, etc etc. They're both red though

Not according to the BMW training propaganda that I had to memorize during my short lived career as a BMW pimp.

BMW started using the twin grills in the 1930's. Perhaps you'll recognize this vehicle. It was part of the 2009 BMW car show display.

It was then ripped off by Bristol in the 1940's.

It wasn't until 1961 when Pontiac began splitting their grills into two.

Jes' setting the record straight.
