I said gills not grills....and it was not a spelling error.

Those things on front fender of cars which BMW calls gills....as seen in pic below.

Not sure how you can call this a copy.... Holden designed the VE Commodoore then modified it with a poxxy front end so it had some PONTIAC design cues, which don't suit the square look IMO. BMW was not the inspiration for the design.

Holden were quite clear that they benchmarked the BMW 5 series for handling, features and quality. On that basis, they have had an EPIC FAIL.

And what manufacturer these days can release a car that has such a blind spot at the A pillar (going around a roundabout is where you learn to lean aroound it as you drive) as WELL as poor rear vision, a waist line so high and seats so low that the kids in the back seat cannot see out the window (try THAT on a long trip) and the list goes on.....

This in my opinion is why BMW goes from strength to strength and these other manufacturers are wondering what the problem is......
