Nazi Stealth Jet Could Have Won War for Hitler - Science News | Science & Technology | Technology News - FOXNews.com

Quote:
Northrop Grumman Corp. spent its own time and money using the original German blueprints to replicate the wood-and-steel-tube bomber, right down to its unique metallic glue and paint, at its facility in El Segundo, Calif.

Using radar of the same type and frequency used by British coastal defenses in World War II, the engineers found that an Ho 229, flying a few dozen feet above the English Channel, would indeed have been "invisible" to the Royal Air Force — an advantage that arrived too late for the Nazis to exploit.

Jeez, that would have tipped the odds the other way! But they had a lot of technology that almost came out that didn't... the war could have ended up very different had all their prototypes made it to use.

So yeah, thank god for stupid leaders! (at least when it is their leaders)

Actually, the first prototype did fly several times and exceeded the designers expectations but crashed when one of the engines quit. The test pilot was killed. The second prototype was never completed, was captured by the US Army and now resides in a secret facility somewhere near Washington, D.C.

Maybe it's stored in that enormous warehouse which has been allocated for the use of placing objects (Like The Ark) that cannot be used and/or destroyed.

'Warehouse 13' is a new show on the SciFi channel. It starts Tuesday, July 7th. Looks like it might be good, I'm a big scifi fan but not of the corny monster movies and such. I think it's going to be something in the same vein as the movie "The Librarian"

Think I'll give it a look see. But corny monster
movies are a riot.

I saw the tail end of one on the scifi channel tonight.
Some big insects in a battle with the humans. Good lord it
was awful....... but thats what made it funny
