I saw that episode and loved it.

He basically wanted to show how good the car was on its own merits. He didn't have to say much.

I thought it was a cool piece to showcase the car and end the season.

I think what he was pointing at was that the current state of the world doesn't cater to muscle cars like that and he foresees this modern muscle age nearing an end much like the previous one ended and led to the small compact cars we know today starting around the 80's.

If that indeed happens, I think the next "muscle car" era may be as different from the current as this one is from the 60's and 70's.

Only time will tell.
