I was looking at the specs for this T60 and the memory specs they call for seem a little strange. Maybe someone can clarify it.

Why does it say to use PC2-4200 533mhz if you're adding 2gb and 667 PC2-5300 for the rest?

Also, is there anything wrong with having say 2.5gb of ram (ie. not round number)?

What are preferred brands? Kingston, Corsair, Crucial?
