Got to love the room in a X5
Well...why not just put all 8, yes 8, tires in the car and keep the 20's on?? It worked. I fit 4 255/55/18 snow tires and 4 factory wheels with tires on them in the back of the X5.

Already back, sorry, snow tire are on my 18's now. When I got to the shop the guy couldn't believe it. First thing he said was "you're telling me you have 8 18" tires in there?"

Actually everyhthing fit pretty well and that includes having my 10" infinity sub in the back of the X with everything loaded.
