If I won one in some contest, I think it would be a fine car for trips back to NJ/NY to see the kids, and other road trips...
assuming the trunk would hold 2 sets of clubs and other stuff.

Not on my radar or wish list, but that car is a remarkable leap for the PCarCo; I would guess the planning/rationale/green light
stage was done before anyone suspected the econ reality situ we have today.

Nice pics of it, in this thread, by the bye.

I like the nose, I like the rear. The side profile....I don't know. Maybe it has to grow on me. It has the classic p car lines, I guess a four door is just odd on a p car.

Now look at that !! HOT LAP on the laguna seca !!!!!!!!!! with 4 passengers ! i think the time is around 1:55 ! and a black panamera is the best ! I would take that any day over the M5 btw this is the 4s model , 0-60 in 5.1-5.0 seconds ,, the turbo's 0-60 is 4.1-4.2 !!!

Arrow

if they were going for something like this (photo)they failed.
whats next a hatchback or turbo minivan ? i think it takes away
from the gt2 styled cars...

I believe the turbo version took out the CTS V's Nürburgring record laptime however.

Love everything but the rear profile, it looks awkward. It looks like it'll have presence on the road though

True, but the CTS-V is still the fastest 4 door sedan, unless the Panamera ran it in the last couple of weeks and it's not listed yet.

July of this year. Corvette gets a mention in the article....

German magazine Sportauto reports the news, which Porsche has yet to confirm. The hot lap was made by Walter Röhrl in a Panamera Turbo loaded with the optional Sport Chrono Package.
The vehicle is powered by a 4.8-liter turbocharged V8 that makes 500 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, helping it sprint to 60 mph in 4 seconds and top out at 188 mph — not bad for a sedan that weighs in at 4,344 pounds. The Panamera Turbo starts at $132,600 (as opposed to the $58,575 price of the CTS-V) and will officially debut in North America next month at the annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
This news comes after the video showing the Nissan GT-R one-upping its personal best Nordschleife lap with a time of 7 minutes, 26 seconds — still a few tenths shy of the Corvette ZR1's run on the Ring.

I think it looks good, not as nice as the Aston Rapide, but striking.
