However, if you have a jailbroken iPhone, I would wait before installing 3.1

First Look: TUAW gives iPhone OS 3.1 the hands-on treatment

Mine was jailbroken but I was finding it too much hassle and too many reboots required so I removed the jailbreak.
Also, I think that one really needs the 3GS, rather than the 3G that I have, because of the extra processing power that is needed. My 3G ran noticeably slower when jailbroken -- and that wasn't even more than a couple of apps that had background processes.
I need speed first and function second

Mine is jailbroken only so I can use a foreign SIM. This damn thing is worth its weight in a solid high quality diamond over here. AT&T can kiss my ass with $250 per month for the international data plan! It was almost too easy, is it possible that the phone got unlocked by putting in another "approved" (SFR) sim card?
