I've had nothing but great service from JP Morgan/Chase/ManufacturersHanover/Chemical

I think that covers all of the mergers over the years that resulted in the current JPM LOL!

Don't forget Washington Mutual (WAMU) that Chase gobbled up recently. Maybe they are only on the left coast.

I have always loved my WAMU account (now Chase). They have always treated me fairly and been very easy to use. For Credit Cards I recommend Citi (I have the Premier Pass World Card Elite Level) or US Bank, both have been great for me

its funny im running into this post as i just got off the phone beginning the rapid and desperate liquidation of my bofa accounts they even offered to send me to retention people blah blah bah i cant stand them i have automatic payments set up and why does it take 8DAYS! for that transaction to hit my account and why do i have to wait 7DAYS for a gas purchase to affect my account its ridiculous, being in the military often leaves you in a position where the bank runs your money but screw them. +1 for JPM and USAA

They also 'acquired' some local and state banks. e.g. Bank One

Thanks for all the advice... I got the fees reversed and will close everything out when I go home, I'm just a student, but I still have better things to do than bitch at the bank.

Hows this for great service. Amex told me they'd buy me the tickets, then didn't come through, and didn't tell me until 2 hours after they went on sale that I had to get them myself. They comp'd the difference between the cheapie tickets I wanted, and the expensive ones I had to buy because thats all that was left! They rock!
