You can shift with the Mana, there are up and down shift buttons on the handlebars.

I know Brian (the guy that test drove it) he is about 5'10" at best, can't imagine what a person my size would have looked like on it.

Not the same at all. I tried this "manual" shifting on the 650 Suzuki Burgman scooter and the fact that there is no clutch makes the "manual" shifting feel weird to me. If I had that type of bike I think I would rarely use the "manual" mode.

Honda produced an automatic version of its iconic CB750 way back in the 1970s but it didn't really catch on. Outside of the scooter and/or commuter market I can't really see automatic bikes becoming all that popular.

The guy is just an idiot. The guy is on a sport bike, has no helmet, wears shorts, is shirtless, and wants to show off but he does not even know how to ride a bike. I think he is very lucky on this one.
Show offs and motorcycles just don't mix as you can see on these few other examples:
YouTube - Crashes - Motorcycle (funny)
YouTube - Crazy Idiot+Motorcycle=Crash
YouTube - Motorcycle Idiot
YouTube - Don't Be a Motorcycle 'Tard
YouTube - Why you shouldn't show off on your Harley Davidson.
